The Golden Wings is an empire with its capital in Atlan. It’s a profoundly devout society, venerating their ancestors and aspiring to mirror their legendary feats.
They venerate the Dawnshards as sacred relics that are meant to riunite with the Ancestors. In the past these relics bestowed superhuman abilities upon the survivors of a meteorite shower, elevating them to godlike status for future generations.
Though time diminished the shards' influence, the Golden Wings remains steadfast in their conviction that these fragments harbor the key to their ultimate potential.
Golden Wings embodies a realm dedicated to the protection and defense of the vulnerable. Its gameplay is deliberate and methodical, prioritizing the establishment of a well-defended board over flooding the field with fragile creatures. It dictates the flow of the match by locking Shards, redirecting the game to the battlefield and board control.
Creatures balance Reap and Fight actions, sometimes executing both in a single turn through the haste mechanic. Card effects lean towards defense, offering healing, provoking, shielding, and boosting creature stats.
Golden Wings struggles to swiftly assert board control, requiring time and resources to create conditions where its dominance is irrefutable. It may falter against aggressive realms like Army of Darkness or Progeny Beyond Time, as they possess actions and creatures capable of swiftly clearing the board.
