Truly Unique Card Sets

Collector trading card games are typically heavily centralized. One of the centralization vectors derives by the fact that the card issuance and release is almost exclusively controlled by the game developers, leaving players little or no influence over it.
This unfortunately applies also to Web3 Games. By being able to control the cards and the NFTs supply, the price of the in-game items can be heavily manipulated by creating an artificial scarcity (or abundance).
The Hybrid Deck-building mechanic adopted by Dawnshard is designed to rebalance the influence on the game economy by the developers to the benefit of the players.
By introducing unique in the world Card Sets, each NFT is truly unique. It will be up to the players to decide the value of the NFTs by taking into account strengths, weaknesses and why not, looks, of a particular Card Set.
To control the inflation of NFT assets in the Marketplace, the mechanism of Incandescence has been introduced.
The Card Sets of Dawnshard have a level of Incandescence with the following hierarchy:
Void
Shiny
Blazing
Oneiric
All Card Sets start from the lowest level of Incandescence (Void) and can be improved up to the highest level (Oneiric).
The advancement of the Incandescence level involves a graphic improvement of all the cards present in that Card Set and an experience boost obtained from matches. Moreover, improving Incandescence is the only way to obtain the NFT of a deck and be able to sell or trade it.
To make an advancement of the Incandescence level, it is necessary to spend Debristar, a very precious currency within the universe of Dawnshard.
Debristar can be obtained through the Battle Pass in small quantity, but the most reliable way to get it is by burning another Card Set, thus obtaining a quantity of Debristar proportional to its level of Incandescence.
This mechanic introduces a decentralized deflationary mechanism to the pool of circulating NFTs, that is controlled uniquely by players.
