Why we created the Meta-Breaker TCG

In traditional card games, players combine cards to create decks, encouraging the exploration of interesting synergies and diverse gameplay. However, this often leads to the opposite effect. When powerful decks emerge, players gravitate towards these sets, resulting in a homogeneous meta-game.

Dawnshard aims to return to the roots with the promise of adaptive gameplay, where each match differs from the last. To achieve this, we removed the traditional deck-building aspect in favor of algorithmically generated card sets. This ensures that each deck is unique, forcing players to think creatively and adapt on the fly.

We want to bring back the experience of visiting a comic shop, buying card packs, and feeling the excitement of opening them to find unique cards that you can trade with friends. In Dawnshard, the cards you collect are truly yours, enabling you to build a stronger deck through genuine interactions and trades.

Our goal is to reignite the joy of building a deck on your own, without relying on strategies copied from top players. We want you to rediscover the thrill of using your own creativity to find the best synergies and combos.
