Feedback on Season One

A few weeks ago, we shared a proposal with the community regarding the future of seasonal rewards, competitive integrity, and long-term progression in Heroes of Hecanos.

The discussion generated a lot of valuable feedback from players across all skill levels. After reviewing your suggestions, concerns, and ideas, we've finalized and implemented the new competitive framework starting this season.

Our goal remains simple:

Reward real players. Reward long-term supporters. Build a sustainable competitive ecosystem.

What We Learned

One point became very clear during the discussion.

Many players enjoyed competing for seasonal rewards, but they also wanted their time, support, and dedication to matter beyond a single month.

At the same time, we wanted to ensure that future rewards, ecosystem events, and the eventual token launch recognize the players who helped build Heroes of Hecanos from the beginning.

The result is a system that combines:

• Short-term competitive rewards

• Long-term ecosystem recognition

• Sustainable prize pools

• Stronger competitive integrity

Season Pass is Now the Core Competitive Product

Based on community feedback, the Season Pass has become the foundation of the competitive ecosystem.

Owning a Season Pass now provides:

• Eligibility for seasonal prize pool rewards

• Increased progression benefits

• Access to premium seasonal rewards

• Permanent proof of participation in Heroes of Hecanos

Most importantly, every Season Pass is now issued as a Soulbound NFT.

This means it:

• Cannot be traded

• Cannot be transferred

• Remains permanently attached to the wallet that earned it

This ensures that future recognition belongs to the players who actually supported and played the game, rather than wallets purchasing historical assets after the fact.

Long-Term Recognition and Future Ecosystem Events

One of the most common requests from the community was ensuring that early supporters receive meaningful recognition in the future.

Heroes of Hecanos is being built with a long-term vision.

We do not want future ecosystem rewards to be based on temporary farming activity or short-term speculation.

Instead, we want future opportunities to recognize:

• Players who participated early

• Players who consistently competed in ranked play

• Players who supported multiple seasons

• Players who helped grow the community and ecosystem

Every Season Pass now contributes to an on-chain participation history tied directly to your wallet.

The more seasons you actively participate in, the stronger your long-term standing becomes within the Heroes of Hecanos ecosystem.

Community-Funded Prize Pools

Another major topic discussed by the community was the sustainability of seasonal rewards.

To address this, seasonal prize pools are now partially funded through Season Pass sales.

This creates a healthier competitive environment where:

• Competitive players directly support the ecosystem they compete in

• Prize pools grow alongside the player base

• Rewards remain sustainable over the long term

• The success of the game and the success of the competitive scene become aligned

We believe this approach is significantly healthier than relying on temporary reward injections that cannot scale with the game.

Stronger Competitive Integrity

Many players also requested stronger protection against abuse and unhealthy leaderboard behavior.

As a result, we have implemented several competitive improvements, including:

• Season Pass requirement for seasonal reward eligibility

• Additional anti-alt account protections

• Additional anti-farming measures

• Better reward structures for active competitors

• Reduced incentives for inactive leaderboard camping

• New long-term progression systems

Our objective is to ensure that rankings are determined by skill, activity, and commitment rather than exploitation of the system.

Looking Forward

Heroes of Hecanos is no longer being built only around monthly rewards.

We're building an ecosystem where your participation today can matter months and years from now.

The players supporting the game early, competing every season, and helping shape the community are the foundation of everything we're creating.
